U.S. Ambassador to Malawi Virginia Palmer presided over the signing ceremony in Lilongwe on November 30 saying, “People with disabilities are equal citizens of Malawi and the world who are entitled to the same rights and privileges as all people in terms of education, health, and economic opportunities.

On the eve of World AIDS Day, it is important to once again declare that no one deserves to be discriminated against or stigmatized by their HIV status or disability.”  The ceremony was also attended by Principal Secretary of Ministry of Gender, Children, Disability and Social Welfare who stressed the need for organizations to use the resources for the intended purpose.
