U.S. EMBASSY LILONGWE DEMONSTRATION ALERT OCTOBER 13, 2023
Location: The Malawi Professional Driver’s Union has announced nationwide demonstrations scheduled for Monday, October 16 in the cities of Mzuzu, Lilongwe, Zomba, and Blantyre. Planned demonstration points in Lilongwe are as follows:
- M1 Road at Kanengo
- M12 Road near Gateway Mall
- M1 Road at Petroda Gas Station
Event: Information about the demonstrations is still developing. Start times have not yet been confirmed. Demonstration activity could disrupt traffic, and if extended may impact fuel availability.

- Avoid the areas of the demonstration.
