13 new American Peace Corps Volunteers were sworn-in on August 31 to begin their two years of service in Malawi as English Teachers and Teacher Trainers at Community Day Secondary Schools in Kasungu, Chitipa, Zomba, Lilongwe, Rumphi, Mulanje, Chikwawa, Thyolo, Blantyre, Chipoka and Chiradzulu. Since 1963, more than 2,900 American Peace Corps volunteers have partnered with Malawians to build capacity in the areas of health, the environment, and education.
