On Friday, U.S. Ambassador Virginia E. Palmer and USAID/Malawi Mission Director Doug Arbuckle welcomed a delivery of US $100,000 worth of disaster relief commodities for Malawians affected by the floods. The supplies included 200 rolls of plastic sheeting to provide temporary shelter for 2,000 households; 2,000 jerry cans to transport fresh water; and 2,000 blankets. These will be distributed to Malawians in need of assistance after the recent devastating floods.
