The U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Section recently collaborated with a 2015 Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) registrant Kondwani Phiri, who makes cook stoves and recycles waste to make briquettes for cooking to conduct a mentoring session for 20 young people in Mzuzu. The session centered on how to start businesses, find markets, access loans and other entrepreneurship related topics. Kondwani Phiri, who will be attending the 2015 GES in Nairobi, Kenya this July, led a session on briquette and cook stove manufacturing as a way of conserving the environment and generating income among the youth.
