Entrepreneurship Fair in Blantyre

About 400 young people braved the bad weather in Blantyre on January 15 to participate in the Entrepreneurship Fair organized by the 2014 Mandela Washington fellows in cooperation with the United States Embassy.

Minister of Youth Honorable Grace Obama Chiumia, entrepreneur Henry Kachaje,  and acting U.S Deputy Chief of Mission Geraldine Thibodeau encouraged the youth to become entrepreneurs and start their own businesses.

The 2014 Mandela Washington fellows and several other entrepreneurs demonstrated their businesses to the visitors and provided mentoring to young men and women on how to start working for themself.

The 2014 Mandela Washington fellows are part of the Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI), an initiative from U.S. President Obama to develop and support a new cadre of young leaders throughout Africa.
