The U.S. Embassy in Lilongwe, Malawi, will be closed to the public on Monday, April 4, through the morning of Tuesday, April 5, and during the afternoon of Thursday, April 7, due to mandatory staff training and in-country travel by the Consular Officer.
No visa or other consular appointments have been scheduled for those days and no walk-in appointments will be seen.
Walk-in appointments for non-emergency American Citizens Services will be available on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 5, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. and on the morning of Thursday, April 7, from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
U.S. citizens seeking emergency services may contact the U.S. Embassy at 01-733-166.
The Consular Section will resume routine visa services and appointment schedules on Friday, April 8.
