Ambassador Palmer Opens Physiotherapy Clinic at School for Orphans in Blantyre

U.S. Ambassador to Malawi Virginia Palmer handed over a Physiotherapy Clinic building to Jacaranda School for Orphans on April 16, 2018 in Traditional Authority Kapeni, Blantyre District.  Speaking during the opening ceremony, Ambassador Palmer said: “I am delighted to officially open this clinic to support orphans and community members who cannot travel long distances to access therapy and counselling services.  I am confident the services you will receive through this new clinic will go a long way toward improving your physical, social, and emotional well-being.”  The project was funded by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Small Grants Program with a total of $10,000 (7.3 million Malawi Kwacha).  Learn more about the program at:  https://mw.usembassy.gov/embassy/lilongwe/funding-opportunities/pepfar-small-grants-program/
